EVOLUTION PILOT

Our Evolution autopilot systems perceive their environment and instantly calculate and evolve steering commands to maximize performance. The result is precise and confident course keeping, regardless of vessel speed or sea conditions – Evolution autopilots steer so accurately they can save fuel and get you to your destination faster.
Automagic™No lengthy calibration procedures to perform. No compass calibration required. Plug and play connections
Easy to install – Freedom from the restrictions of conventional heading sensors. EV sensor core can be installed above or below deck. Install upside-down or off the vessel’s centre line.
Aerospace technology – 9-axis precision monitoring of pitch, roll, yaw and heading
Fuel efficient – Evolution autopilots steer so accurately they will save fuel and get you to your destination faster.
At the centre of every Evolution system is the intelligent EV sensor core, a 9-axis sensor that monitors vessel motion in all three dimensions. The innovative EV sensor core combines advanced solid-state sensors with the Evolution autopilot processor into a single easy-to-install housing.
Mount the EV sensor core above or below decks, the rugged enclosure is fully sealed and built to IPX6 and IPX7 waterproofing and submersion standards.
Precision monitoring of heading, pitch, roll, and yaw allowing the autopilot to evolve instantly as sea conditions and vessel dynamics change.
Flexible installation options. Mount above or below deck.
Simple SeaTalkng connectivity to the control head and ACU.
Solid state sensor technology delivers dynamic accuracy to within 2 degrees in all conditions.
Auto-compensation for on board magnetic fields and reliable heading accuracy in the northern and southern extremes.
Fast and reliable heading data for MARPA, radar overlay, and heading modes on Raymarine multifunction displays.
The rugged ACU (Actuator Control Unit) delivers reliable autopilot drive power and also provides power to the SeaTalkng bus. Choose the ACU that fits your steering type:
ACU-100: With the ACU-100 Raymarine brings the exceptional performance of Evolution Autopilots to sport boats, runabouts and smaller cruising yachts.
Specifically designed to complement Raymarine’s unique wheel-drive and tiller-drive applications, the ACU-100 provides a powerful and secure interface between steering systems and the revolutionary EV-1 course computer and 9-axis sensor.
As a true world-first innovation, the ACU-100 is fully sealed so may be mounted above decks on boats where space is limited.
ACU-150: The Raymarine ACU-150 is a component of the Evolution™ Autopilot system and is designed to provide power and control to a Raymarine Type-1 Hydraulic Drive Unit.
The ACU-150 connects to the SeaTalkng network for communication with its other peripherals. It also has connections for an optional Rudder Reference Unit (sold separately.) The ACU-150 works on 12-volt DC systems only.
To make a complete ACU-150 autopilot system you must also add the Type-1 Hydraulic Drive Unit (M81120), Evolution EV1 Sensor Core (E70096), Evolution Cable Kit (R70160) and either the p70s (E70328) or p70Rs (E70329) autopilot control head.
ACU-200: Raymarine automatic pilot with hydraulic, mechanical and I/O depending of the boat’s steering wheel for boats up to 9.000Kg. Includes central ACU, control, AV1 sensor (compass) and rudder reference transducer.
ACU-300: Automatic pilot for steering systems with solenoid valve for large vessels. Includes central ACU, control, AV1 sensor (compass) and rudder reference transducer
ACU-400:
Raymarine Type 2 and 3 automatic pilot with hydraulic, mechanical and I/O depending of the boat’s steering wheel for boats up to 16.000Kg. Includes central ACU, control, AV1 sensor (compass) and rudder reference transducer.

EVO200: EV-2 has been designed for the latest drive-by-wire steering systems and connects directly to Raymarine’s SeaTalkng bus. EV-2 also has a dedicated CAN Bus port for direct connection to steer-by-wire steering systems – such as ZF Pod Drives, Yamaha Helm Master, Volvo IPS and SeaStar Solutions Optimus systems. A single CAN Bus connection to the EV-2 eliminates the need for an Autopilot Control Unit (ACU) further simplifying installation.
